LET’S START THE CONVERSATION

Ready to Take the Next Step?

Whether you’re preparing for your first triathlon, chasing a personal best, returning from injury, or looking for greater clarity in your training, every coaching relationship begins with a conversation.

Tell me a little about your goals, experience, and what you’re hoping to achieve. I’ll personally review your message and get back to you as soon as possible to discuss how we might work together.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Before We Get Started

Here are answers to a few questions prospective athletes commonly ask before beginning coaching.

Do I need to live in California?

No. Most athletes I coach live throughout the United States and internationally. Coaching is delivered remotely through TrainingPeaks, regular communication, performance analysis, and scheduled calls. Athletes in the San Francisco Bay Area may also arrange in-person services such as blood lactate testing, running gait analysis, or one-to-one coaching sessions when appropriate.

    Who do you coach?

I work with athletes across the entire performance spectrum—from first-time triathletes and runners to Ironman World Championship qualifiers, professionals, and world champions. Every coaching program is individualized to your goals, physiology, experience, lifestyle, and available training time.

What happens after I contact you?

I’ll personally review your message and usually respond within one to two business days. If it appears we’re a good match, we’ll schedule a brief introductory call (typically 10–15 minutes) to discuss your goals, answer initial questions, and determine whether we’re the right fit to work together. If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule a comprehensive onboarding session to review your training history, current fitness, goals, and establish the foundation for your coaching.

    Is there any obligation?

No. The introductory conversation is simply an opportunity for us to determine whether we’re a good fit to work together. It isn’t intended to be a coaching consultation, but rather a chance to discuss your goals, explain my coaching approach, and answer any questions you may have before making a decision.

Finding the Right Coach Starts with the Right Conversation

Choosing a coach is an important decision, and finding the right coaching relationship matters just as much as finding the right training plan.

If we decide we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule a comprehensive onboarding session where we’ll review your training history, current fitness, lifestyle, goals, and build the foundation for your coaching.

Every successful coaching relationship begins with trust, communication, and a shared commitment to long-term progress. If that approach resonates with you, I’d be delighted to hear from you.

I look forward to learning more about your goals.
